Comal County Proclaims October 11, 2025 as Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful Day

Today marks a proud milestone for our community and for everyone who has ever rolled up their sleeves to help protect the natural treasures of Canyon Lake. During today’s session, the Comal County Commissioners Court officially recognized October 11, 2025, as Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful Day—a meaningful proclamation that celebrates the volunteers, organizers, and supporters who work year-round to preserve the beauty and ecological health of our region.

Honoring a Legacy of Stewardship

The proclamation shines a spotlight on the consistent, dedicated efforts that Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful (KCLB) puts forth across the community. From shoreline cleanups to educational outreach and beautification projects, KCLB volunteers play a vital role in keeping Canyon Lake clean, protected, and thriving.

This recognition from the Commissioners Court not only underscores the importance of environmental stewardship in Comal County—it affirms the impact of the people who show up, month after month, to make a difference.

A Celebration of Community Commitment

The announcement was met with gratitude and enthusiasm from KCLB’s leadership, many of whom attended the session to witness the proclamation firsthand. The designation of October 11th as Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful Day symbolizes the strong partnership between county leaders and local residents who care deeply about protecting one of Texas’ most treasured natural resources.

It also serves as a call to action for all who enjoy the lake: a reminder that keeping Canyon Lake beautiful requires ongoing community involvement, shared responsibility, and stewardship of the land and water we all love.

Looking Toward October 11th—and Beyond

As we look ahead to the first official Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful Day in 2025, KCLB is excited to use this opportunity to expand volunteer participation, highlight ongoing environmental initiatives, and inspire even more residents to get involved.

Whether through cleanup events, educational programs, or community partnerships, KCLB will continue working to ensure that Canyon Lake remains a clean, healthy, and vibrant natural space for generations to come.

Thank You, Comal County

Keep Canyon Lake Beautiful extends heartfelt thanks to the Comal County Commissioners Court for this meaningful recognition—and to every volunteer, sponsor, partner, and supporter who makes this work possible.

Together, we are making a lasting impact. Together, we are keeping Canyon Lake beautiful.
